Captain
Jean-Francois Dive is the chef aboard Douce France. He is, of course, years in 3-star Michelin restaurants together with obtaining his National French Diploma in 1993, passing with honors. Jean-Francois' specialties lean toward French provincial cuisine with a particular flare for shellfish, and pastries. He likes to windsurf, dive and take photographs and is an excellent sailor.

Good Times on DOUCE FRANCE

Dear Sonia,
I would like to take this moment to express my client's and my observation in regard to the Bravo Sailing Corp. / DOUCE FRANCE charter Antigua / Antigua April 24 - May 2, 1999.
DOUCE FRANCE is a marvelous yacht. Captain Sven and his crew were friendly and gracious. There were some language problems, but we had the stewardess speaking "New Yawk" English by the second day.
The chef was "typical" French if one is used to 5-star food and service. The yacht is a perfect platform for gracious living and relaxing cruising.
In the rapidly expanding yacht charter business, it was a pleasure to deal with an experienced and charming crew.
I look forward to next year and another successful charter on DOUCE FRANCE. Best regards, Rex Herbert, Sparkman & Stephens (May 1999)

Dear Jean-Claude & Alan,
I want to thank you so very, very much for the superb charter that DOUCE FRANCE did for our clients, the Crawford party. From start to finish it was an excellent charter. Please note that Mr. Crawford has written that it was an excellent crew and that the food was the best possible... the food was "magnificent, out of this world" and that the "chef was extraordinarily good." They adored the food. They also felt that because the wine list was so fantastic that the chef was spurred on to have such superb food.
Mr. Wright's comment was that this was very much a fun charter, it went very, very well and they would not hesitate to recommend the yacht.
They found that DOUCE FRANCE sailed very well. They were all very comfortable and the crew was exceptionally accommodating to them. They also enjoyed the fact that when they were in St. Bart there were three very large, extremely elegant motor yachts in the 140' range but everyone seemed to be circling DOUCE FRANCE instead of the three motor yachts because they were so curious and interested in DOUCE FRANCE.
Thank you all and thank the captain for making such an effort to make sure that this charter was a wonderful charter. They really had a grand time.
Sincerely, Lynn Jachney (April 1999)

Dear Karen,
Mr. Sucari telephoned my office the moment he returned to provide me with this glowing report.
Looking back at the charter, everything was perfect. He was impressed with the entire crew whom he said were excellent and so hard working. Mr. Sucari really appreciated the captain's willingness to ensure the guest's expectations and desires were being met. I also understand the chef was exceptional.
The captain assigned two crew members just to accommodate the watersports aspect of the charter that my client felt was an excellent enhancement. I understand these two always made sure the equipment was ready to go and continually asked what the guests wanted.
I believe the crew realized the Sucari's desire for a "fun in the sun" vacation and made sure their dreams were achieved.
Karen, Sonia, Alan and crew & of course the owner, I cannot thank you enough for everything you did to create this successful charter. You are a wonderful teak and it was an absolute pleasure to coordinate. I shall recommend DOUCE FRANCE with enthusiasm at every opportunity.
Warmest regards,
Diane Fraser, Yachts Worldwide (March 1999)

Dear Mr. Borgel,
We do not know each other yet but after having spent a ten day dream cruise on your DOUCE FRANCE, my friends and I would like to congratulate you for the quality of your magnificent yacht, as well as the high class service and hospitality provided by your crew. The cuisine on board matches some of the finest restaurants I have ever known.
We know what it is to own a boat whether for pleasure or commercial use, and can therefore understand the difficulties one could meet in building and operating a yacht like DOUCE FRANCE.
I would like you to know that we will be more than happy to repeat this unforgettable experience on other horizons and could only consider this on your yacht.
Wishing you and excellent year to come.
