Motor Yacht Altair 194' (59 m) Altair was constructed to meet NATO military standards for the Dutch Navy and although not Ice classed she is strengthened to withstand being frozen in. Launched in 1974 she was built as a Dutch pilot ship and then converted in 1997/98 to a luxury motor yacht at Oceanfast in Perth, Australia to the designs of John Bannenberg.
